How good is the actual teaching at Genki Jacs Tokyo? (beginner course)

I'm worried about signing up for Genki Jacs short Japanese course as they said that the teachers only teach in Japanese, so I'm guessing they don't speak any English. I've got 2 friends studying at the Kudan Institute who hate it for this reason. Basically its super hard to learn Japanese grammar without an explanation in you own language that you can understand.

Has anyone tried Genki Jacs in Tokyo that can give me some insight? Was it hard to learn Japanese when all the explanations were also in Japanese? How good are the teachers?

Some extra info: I've been living in Japan for 6 months and learning by self teaching and immersion alone hasn't got me very far. I speak Japanese to native speakers regularly and it helps but not much so I really think I'd benefit from a proper teacher for a month or so. There aren't many schools to choose from as most courses start in July and I don't plan to stay in Tokyo that long. Genki Jacs has courses starting each month. They also said that from my placement test I can skip the first week of the course. This was a huge green flag as it saves me a weeks worth of course fees and I don't have to go over complete beginner stuff that I already know.

Interested in hearing peoples thoughts on this.
