Hokkaido or Kyushu for seafood in early October?

We’ve booked our flights to Japan for the first 2 weeks of October. We love seafood, especially crabs, lobsters and shellfish. I just learn from internet research that the season for seafood actually begins in November, but there might be some catches as early as beginning of October. Where would we have better chance, Hokkaido or Kyushu? I am thinking Hokkaido in the north is cooler than Kyushu, so we might have better chance there? Please advice.
