Science subjects for EJU?

Hi, I’m interested in studying architecture at university in Japan in a few years. My Japanese is not good enough yet but I plan on going to language school for a couple years before I apply. But I am trying to do some research now and it’s hard to find answers when my Japanese is not very good.

It looks like a lot of universities require you to take the EJU exam. One of the subjects is science which I assume you would have to take for architecture. But for the science it looks like you have to pick 2 sciences out of chemistry, physics and biology. Is this true? I have been studying physics at school but not any of the other sciences because I did not realise I would need them for architecture. Will this mean my score will not be good enough to get into the university I want? Do I need to study another science by myself before the exam, how do I go about doing that?

I tried looking up what Kyoto university’s requirements are for the EJU but I couldn’t find anything regarding the faculty of engineering. I also considered contacting the school directly but I’ve never contacted a university before and I was unsure which email to use because there was so many.

Thank you in advance for anyone who is able to answer my questions or point me in the right direction.

Edit: I managed to find an email that I think is the correct place for my enquiry and I sent an email.

    see: [https://www.t.kyoto-u.ac.jp/ja/admissions/faculty/exam2/2023application_guidelines](https://www.t.kyoto-u.ac.jp/ja/admissions/faculty/exam2/2023application_guidelines)

It says, you have to get “Total score of 680 points in Japanese (excluding written questions), Mathematics (Course 2), Physics, and Chemistry. And, you must take all subjects in Japanese.”

Theoretically, you can get 650 points for Japanese, Math, and Physics, so if you get a perfect score on all of them, you only need 30 points for Chemistry.
