My car insurance from Zenrosai auto-renews every year. I get a notice in the mail every year asking me to review my coverage and contact them if I want to make any changes. Otherwise, the only time I had to go to their office was when I made the initial application for insurance. It has renewed automatically every year since then. I bought a new car in July and I was able to change coverage to the new car by phone and by sending the necessary documents from the car dealer by mail.
Got introduced to a local insurance salesman through a friend of a friend, who has no issue coming around to my apartment at my convenience to go through the paperwork. I like it this way, even though it’s arguably not the cheapest.
