Living in Rural/Urban Japan

Hi current / previous JETS 🙂

I’ve been thinking a lot about the prospects of living in Japan. I’ve lived in Kyoto before for a year long study programme at the university.

I’m aware that some locations can be very rural.
What’s the likelihood of this?

Can anyone give some insight if their experiences if they were living rurally, or if it’s something which is very common.

I’m still going for it but I need a bit more first hand answers to really picture it. Obviously I would rather live somewhere not in the middle of nowhere but if that’s not the case I’d like to prepare to adapt

Has anyone had more urban / city placements ?
