Yes I know it’s going to be expensive and I have my reasons. But has anyone experienced doing so here?
I have the original packaging and all of the things they used to support to the monitor within the box. All of the wrappers etc.
Would it be smart to bolster the original box with extra cardboard or something? Bubble wrap everywhere?
Edit: worse case scenario, can I bring this to the airport and have it as a carry on

I would use the original packing since you have it, if there’s room inside you can stick some more padding in. Just put insurance on it.
Use Fedex for this. Its going to be quite costly though.
Avoid hand carry.
Bring it with you as excess baggage on flight. excess baggage fee is in US$100-300 range. There might be some extra fee for oversized baggage, check with airline. It will be much cheaper than shipping.
I once carried a monitor as my carry-on bag on a flight from the US to Japan. I used the original box, and used a strap with a handle around it so I could carry it easily. No issues.
If you’re willing to pay, call Nittsu and ask them to help
