HomeJapaneseWhere can I learn to write Siddham? It seems like a such a beautiful script in Japan for Zen texts, and I found the alphabet on Omniglot. But I can’t find the stroke orders…any resources or YouTube tutorials that I’ve missed?

Would stroke order matter for a script that is not in common use? I thought the purpose of stroke order was so others could read your handwriting. That being said though I did find this document http://www.unicode.org/L2/L2012/12234-n4294-siddham.pdf that seems to have rudimentary stroke order guides starting on page 28.
It’s the mother of almost all modern South Asian scripts like Devanagari or Bengali script, I would suggest you to learn one of these modern ones first because there are plenty of tutorials on the internet. If you can write one of these then learning Shiddham will be a piece of cake for you

The Japanese word is apparently 梵字, and I see quite a few instruction videos searching for that on youtube, e.g. [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9Je23N41JQ).
