Staying in Kyoto for a week during the first / second week of October. Plan to day trips to Hiroshima, Osaka and Nara while in Kyoto and spend 3 full days exploring Kyoto and lake Biwa region.
Confused between staying near Kyoto station or traditional Kyoto downtown. Would love to get some opinions on selecting the hotel.
