Private pension plans

Does anyone have recommendations for integrative pension plans?

I have worked for 10+ years in the private sector in Japan and duly paid my pension contributes, but starting from last year, I have started working in the Embassy of my native country. As such, I do not pay income tax to Japan anymore (there is a double taxation agreement between the two countries) and my Japanese national pension premium has become extremely cheap. I would like to pay into a private pension plan here in Japan, as well, so I don’t find myself with 5 man a month when I retire in 25 years.

Additional info:

-I had the choice to enroll in my country’s pension system, but I decided against it because I have basically never worked there and so I don’t have any pension contributes built up, plus I don’t trust that its welfare system survives for two more decades (it is MUCH better here in Japan, and that’s saying a lot).

-Since I don’t pay income tax in Japan, benefits like iDECO’s tax deducibility are not a make or break point for me.

-I am not a US citizen. I am a citizen of and work for a EU country.

Thank you for any and all insights!
