Japan national pension payment exemption

Good evening everyone,
I’m an exchange student residing in Tokyo for 6 months and I am over stressed about a letter that I received today from the National Pension System.
Inside there are the bills for each month, as well as the deadlines for the next year (starting last April).
The thing is, being a student, I am not supposed to be paying them so I am not sure why I received this letter.
Since when I arrived I correctly registered my residency status in the local ward. A couple of weeks later, I received a letter where I declared my income (0¥ 😅) and sent it to the local ward office accordingly.
After that, I regularly paid my first national insurance bill. However, as far as I know this is the only payment I need to make during my study period here.
Did I miss any procedure for the exemption? Should I just ignore the letter? I’m shocked that they are asked me to pay around 16k per month given that I earn zero.
Thank you to anyone that will help me, my Japanese is decent but not enough to fully comprehend government regulations and I cannot find any further information on internet!
I’m soooo stressed out! 😰
