What to do instead of Edo Tokyo Museum

Hi Gang,

I'm building our itinerary and for our first day (after landing at 7am) I had planned for us to spend a couple hours at the museum whilst we waited for our hotel in Asakusabashi to be ready. But I realise it's now closed for renovations. I

I'm gutted as this was a highlight of my trip last time and thought it would be cool and chill first activity to introduce my partner to Japan.

What would you suggest doing instead? I'm not very keen/fussed about the skytree and we're visiting asakusa, ueno, shibuya, Harajuku and Shinjuku later in the holiday.
