American going to a college in Japan for schooling, anything I should keep in mind?

For the sake of extra anonymity, I'll just mention that the school is based in Tokyo.
I looked into it a bit and it would be the same price to go there as an international student as it would be to go to a cheap community college in my state, (idk what's up with that?)
Is there anything I should know about beforehand?

I'll be studying japanese a ton and saw a little about that language fluency test you have to take before hand(?) getting a student visa

Depending on how well the experience goes, and if I actually make some good friends there, I may choose to stay in Japan when my schooling is done.

(I'm a more introverted and reserved person, so compared to the loud personality of America it seems to be more my fit anyways? Feel free to correct me though! I'd love to learn more!)

  • for reference, if I do go, I won't leave for at minimum 2-3 years (like, saving up money yknow)
It really seems like a wonderful school that's perfect for my career option and I'd really like to attend. :))
