Hi guys! I am 21M and thinking of applying working holiday visa for Japan as a South Korean citizen. On the Japanese official website, it says I need to currently be a resident of South Korea. Here comes the problem that I am a permanent resident of Canada and have been living in Canada for 7 years. In this case, can I apply for WHV the earliest draw once I go back to Korea? Else, are there any restrictions for obtaining status of “Resident of Korea”? Are there going to be disadvantages for living abroad for so long?
