Is 10 days around Biwako/Shiga, too long? Looking for advice

I'll start by saying that we are a couple and slow travelers, we like hitting 1-2 main attractions per day at most while mixing the rest of the day with eating at restaurants, trying local snacks, just hanging around walking/cafe, etc and shopping. Also this is our 7th time coming back to Japan.

For this trip of about one month, we're considering staying around 10 days in Biwako, ~5 in Otsu and ~5 in Hikone as main base to do day trips around the lake.

I used the search bar but couldnt find much abiut Shiga in general.

Here's our tentative itinerary starting late November this year:

  • day 1 arrive from Osaka to Otsu

  • day 2 check mii dera temple and Omi jingu

  • day 3 go to Miho museum and check Ishiyama

  • day 4 Ogoto Onsen, Ukimido and maybe the floating Torii

  • day 5 Hakodayeyama (funicular) Biwako views

  • day 6 head towards Hikone see main sights

  • day 7 Maibara and Samegai post town

  • day 8 Omi- Hachiman

  • day 9 Nagahama and Chikubu Island

  • day 10 head to Ise or Nagoya to continue our trip

our main questions:

  • does this itinerary look good?

  • is it too slow even for slow travelers (should we condense the days bit)?

  • are those towns mentioned worth the visit?, we like finding local restaurants (that by itself is an attraction for us), checking shops for souvenirs and walking around nice looking towns/cities.

  • we prefer to not change accommodation too often but also dont want to do lot of backtracking. Should we add 1 more city to the itinerary somewhere around Biwako?

  • anything you'd change?

thanks for any advice
