USJ update 20June

my family of 4 (wife and 2 boys, 11 and 8) have been here the past two days. both days park was supposed to open at 9am.

Wednesday "A" day – arrived at 6:50am and was maybe 15th for our respective line. early admission was let in at 7:45am and gates opened at 8am.
– walked briskly to Nintendo world. got on Mario (our family together) and tooknonly about 20 minutes.
– bought bands for the boys
– went straight to Yoshi after and took about 30 minutes.
– got yakisoba Yoshi bun
– got reservation for Kinipio for 11:20 time slot
-did single rider at Mario for maybe 45 minutes. and it was about 10:45am
-did lunch at Kinipio…was out of Nintendo world around 12pm.
– was also able to secure a timed entry for 1:20pm but we didn't use it.
-roamed the rest of the park and rode all the rollercoasters before leaving at 7:00pm

Thursday "A" day – arrived at 6:40am and definitely more people than Wednesday. was almost in the exact same spot in the queue as first day.
– early entry at 7:35am and gates opened at 7:50am.
– went straight to Nintendo world and rode Mario kart 2x, once as family and then single rider. done around 9:15am.
– then to Harry Potter. other rides.

NOTES:
– chose to do 2 days no express passes since it was cheaper than doing 1 day with express passes…and we could do things more leisurely. we could sacrifice the extra day since we're on a long trip.
– go EARLY. I would say 2.5 hours early. yes, even an "A" day is busy. with most wait times at big rides around 60-75minutes. can't imagine how long the waits are on "busy" days.
– bring battery packs for your devices!! invaluable as my kids burned through the phone batteries while waiting in the queues
