Hi! So I just moved here on Monday and I had someone from Tokyo Gas come to set up my gas yesterday, and he was very nice and explained things well, I thought. I really didn’t think I’d have any questions, but when he left he took the batteries out of my stove after instructing me how to put them back in. It’s really simple and hard to mess up, right?
And yet whenever I put the batteries in (minus side on the left, plus on the right) it just beeps at me and tells me there’s no power. I even bought new batteries from the konbini thinking the ones that came in the stove were just dead, but nope. I feel like a huge idiot and don’t want to call Tokyo Gas and have them send someone over to waste their time if it’s something easily fixable.
I thought maybe if I made my account using the お客様番号 it might change something but still nothing. I really don’t know what to do and don’t understand how I managed to get myself in this situation? Does anyone know any potential way to fix it?

EDIT: i know it’s my gas that’s the problem since i also have no hot water. again i WILL call my gas company tomorrow i just wanted to know if anyone might’ve known. sorry for not saying it in my original post
