I’ll be going to Japan in October with my fiancee for our honeymoon, and we are the type of people to be very vocal and appreciative to service workers. Waiter refills my water? “Thank you so much you’re awesome!” Clothing store employee finds my size shirt in the back? “Bless your heart, mam thank you!”
I don’t want to come off too strong and I know just a simple thank you would suffice, but I was raised on being hospitable and grateful and was wondering if there was anything I could say to be appreciative while not being just a loud foreigner.
