Looking for some advice on choosing between 3 possible areas to hit in November this year.
Some background, Our first trip to Japan was Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara in the fall. Pretty basic.
Second trip was tohoku a road trip from aomori back to Tokyo in Sakura season.
Third trip was a road trip through Kyushu from Fukuoka to kagoshima hitting all the major spots on the way.
Normally we plan for 2 weeks of actual time in Japan so 16 days total with travel days. This time around we have about 9 actual Japan days.
Keep in mind this will be in November so fall colors and also always rent a car So covering ground in rural areas is no issue.
Basically I'm looking for some advice on which of the three options below would better suit a relatively short 9 days. We would rather not be skipping things.
Option 1: Shikoku road trip likely route would be Matsuyama -> Uwajima -> kochi -> tokushima -> takamatsu
Option 2: starting in kanazawa -> driving through Gifu hitting some post towns and gorges along the way -> Nagoya -> shizuoka
Option 3: Niigata -> Nagano -> Gunma -> saitama These routes can be adjusted slightly once it's decided. Would love to hear from some of you who have visited this places and could tell me if it's better suited for a longer trip.
Thanks !!
