Hi everyone. First Post but realistically I am wanting to move to Japan, as it says in my title, in the next few years. Recently I've become less and less content with living in the UK and honestly I see myself living abroad, as I had always assumed I would even from a young age. I have a degree in ancient history, I know it won't mean much to Japanese job opportunities unless I somehow find a museum wanting someone like that 😂 but honestly I have a good amount of money set aside, I will get regular money from renting out a home I own when I do move, it'll be managed by someone here where I live etc.
What I mostly want to figure out as I go ahead and continue learning the language and culture and remember what it's been like from my holiday last summer is, what the actual living conditions I should set for myself so I can enjoy living there, yes at least conversation japanese will be a minimum and I am on my way to getting that, but I want to know others experiences, any advice for me moving forward that others might not think of, how much money you roughly saved up to go and really try.
I'm just wanting open advice about people's experiences, how they made their own lives easier doing things and most important, how any of you survived that 40+ Celsius heat in the summer!!! Gods that really was an experience 😅. So just comment below, mail me or send me things you think would help. I want to make this a reality. I'm still in my late twenties and I want to make this a reality before I start getting too old, set in my ways or not keeping my explorative spirit I've had since I was little.
Thanks for reading.
