By any extremely slim chance, did anyone pick up a Canon digital pocket camera in a black case on the bridge near Kamogawa in Gion. I lost it and realized later and it contains really important pictures. Thank you
Whenever I find a camera, wallet, mobile phone, etc., I turn it into the police. Go to the police stn. and file a report. A tiny percentage of people in Kyoto look at this subreddit, so it’s a fool’s errand to post here.
Hopefully it was found by an honest person and turned into the police. So you could ask at a koban (police box) and they will check if anything has been turned in.
Unfortunately, there are a loooooot of tourists now and this is stereotyping but in my experience, there are a lot of “finder’s keepers” type of people outside of Japan.

You should report to the police, but at the same time you can check [this site](https://lostproperty.pcf.npa.go.jp/ZDSERVFP/SZDWA0101/search) for things that have been turned in.
There is a police box on both sides of the bridge. West is right there, east is one block east. Check both of them.
