My partner and I are landing at Narita Airport in the morning and then plan to head to Kyoto later in the day. I'm trying to find the best way to get there with our luggage.
At first, I thought we would take the Airport Bus or Narita Express to Tokyo Station, put our luggage in a coin locker, and walk around/have lunch before our Shinkansen to Kyoto in the late afternoon.
However, I found that the Skyliner has a 'Hands-Free Travel' option. From what I can tell from the website the fare to get our bags delivered to Kyoto (Kansai) is ¥4,470 which also includes our Skyliner fare to Nippori/Ueno, Then from there we can get to Tokyo Station to take the Shinkansen without any luggage.
I understand our luggage might not be delivered until the next day, which is fine for us.
Has anyone used the Hands-Free Travel with Skyliner? Or, have any suggestions on an easier/better option?
