I was hoping I could get some opinions from anyone with experience traveling between Saitama city or the surrounding areas to Yamanashi in the Hokuto area.
My options are as follows (all company paid):
commute to Yamanashi daily by car, approximately 5 hours round trip, and 4500 yen in tolls.
Get a hotel for the foreseeable future and come back to visit family on the weekends.
Rent an apartment and pay for a year or so in advance (this would work out to being cheaper than a hotel.)
I may be traveling the country for training and if i have my way, will be working as much in the greater Tokyo metropolitan area as possible.
How is the traffic going into Yamanashi from Tokyo on the Chuo expressway?
