Every once in a while, a Japanese buddy of mine will recommend or song or sing a song at karaoke that's amazing but I've never heard it because it wasn't popular abroad. Do you have any Japanese songs like this that you love but didn't know about until you came here?

島のうた Shima no Uta, an Okinawan classic. My fav version is by the Boom, but the one they have in Karaoke is normally by Begin.

It was only a few days later that I decided to try and find out what the song was by looking through all the songs played that day on the website, only roughly knowing what time it would have been, but I eventually found it. Has a chill Caribbean vibe
