I came across this $3.80 a piece Bluefin Toro nigiri (looks to me as Chutoro) in Kura Revolving Bar in South Bay Boston.
Rice felt completely unseasoned (no taste of vinegar at all), wasabi of course horseradish, cut not particularly fat, still for a price I think it’s was a catch. Sushi in general would for sure be better with better rice. Still they have a decent selection of meats and fillings characteristic to Japan home sushi cuisine. I was always puzzled by my Japanese friend from Tokyo (who I know in RL in Boston) statement, who said tuna in general is not his favorite sushi, but eel. Must say after trying I understand why. Not the healthiest fish, indeed delicious when meat prepared correctly.
Restaurant’s curiosity. If you never used heated toilet seat, or have your place (where sun don’t shine) cleaned with stream of warm water, try their restrooms. Insider tip: remote on the wall does not have clearly marked “stop” button. So if panic sets up, that along your place (when sun don’t shine), you also going to have washed your pants (as you getting up), just press small square at the very top of remote.
