Itinerary Check (17 days) as first-timer couple check!

Going to Japan for the first time! Will be staying for 17 days total from Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo for April 15-May 1, 2025. My partner can walk but I have trouble walking constantly without rest due to an old leg injury so I try to keep the itinerary spacious.

I still havn’t decide where to stay for Kyoto, Tokyo and a ryokan yet but planning to do so nearby a JR or local train station. Let me know if there’s any improvement! Especially if I’m putting itineraries with excessive walking next to each other.

  1. On the subject of rest, Japan is really lacking when it comes to public benches. Even big train stations are lacking. However, Japan has a lot of cafes in urban areas that could be good places to rest.
