I previously worked in fashion before moving to Japan to teach English about eight months ago. My aim was to learn about Japanese culture and life while teaching my students, and eventually transition into a fashion related job. I've always admired the creativity and passion people seem to have for fashion here. I'd like to become involved. However, I have found it challenging to meet people and find groups of creatives who are interested in working together.
Does anyone have experience as a foreigner in japan working in the fashion industry?
At this point I'm truly open to any kind of work. I want to know the best way to become more involved and meet people interested in fashion. There's so many amazing magazines and publications coming out of Japan! I just want to be a part of it, input a bit of my own perspective, and share with the rest of the world.
