1. Reposted from another sub, but looking for recommendations around Tokyo:

   Post Covid it seems like all the (relatively) safe picks for Izakaya chains are gone besides Torikizoku. I know they were never the best, but I miss the modicum of consistency the Watami and KinNoKuni of the old days had. Are there any other decent low to mid tier Izakaya chains or are they mostly gone?

   Alternatively, what are your recommendations for Izakaya with properly divided non-smoking sections or private rooms with decent division from other tables? (none of that pull down curtain bullshit)

2. Never used any of the point cards because carrying them around was a pain and didn’t want a million apps collecting all of my data. Finally realized there are app(s?) that can hold all the point cards in one. All I’m aware of so far is the osaifu keitai app. Does it just collect all of the data it can and share it with all the organizations you have point cards with? Are there alternative apps that do the same thing (on Android)?

3. I’m in a jam! I need a school swimsuit soon- boys trunks and rash guard. However, my kid is now too big for regular kids sizes (170). Where can I buy a school-style swimsuit for a big kid? I’m looking online but I’m hesitant to order because I’m worried about the fit.

   Just moved into a 1st floor apartment, concrete construction, and exposed on all sides (e.g. neighbors only above and not north, south, east, or west). I have a cat so hoping he can help kill them if they get inside. Any cat friendly preventative measures I can take?

7. I know immigration wait times seem to get worse and worse – it’s been two months now waiting for my visa renewal. very standard stuff, same job for 4 years, no change in anything in my life really at all. yet this is the longest its ever taken for
   me – anyone else find themselves waiting a long time for their visa renewal this year?

8. looking for referrals for a 行政書士 – bonus points if the application wasn’t “perfect” and they had to advise how to fix it. anyone here have personal or at most secondhand knowledge of someone they can recommend?
