My wife(Japanese) and I (American) have a son who turned six and started school. We’ve been trying for several years to have another child, finally going to a fertility clinic around Shinjuku. Three consecutive miscarriages later we are just tired. I remembered some of my friends back in elementary school had been adopted and recently we’ve been wondering about adoption. We are in our mid 30s, have a home and I work in Hardware development at a Japanese company. Just wondering where to get started on this journey, and if anyone has adopted from the states and brought the child to Japan? We could go adopting from Japan, and maybe that is the way to go, but we only just started wondering at the possibility…any experiences / thoughts would be a huge help…
