A small startup has sponsored my wife’s work visa and the application for SOR(from dependent to work visa) is ongoing. applied on Apr 29, yet to receive due to delayed processing times.
Just recently, she received a job offer from a big tech company in Japan. Accepting their offer better pay/role etc.They offered to sponsor her work visa as well.
Could you advise:
Option 1: withdraw the first application and ask the new employer to start the visa application: pros: might get a longer validity as it is a bigger organisation. Am I right?
Option 2: wait for first application to come through and apply for change of employer later.
Are there any risks we are missing to check?
