  1. Not very creative, I guess, but the terrace at Sizzler, Odaiba Aqua City, where you can have all you can eat salad bar and a great view over the bay to Rainbow Bridge. Watch all the Yakatabune on the water in the evening.

  2. I’m a bit biased when it comes to topics like this because of course it has to have some craft beer on tap though I do have some favourites.
    – Craft Beer Market Otemachi (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ou9DW3YZ5UGv45ev9)

It has a nice covered outside area and it isn’t in direct sunlight, so even in the middle of the day, you aren’t going to be boiling from the sun’s rays and can enjoy it outside. Moreover, in winter, they have space heaters outside as well as blankets to keep people warm.

    – YYG Brewery (https://maps.app.goo.gl/TuVJR1kKpfGM4oQs6)

Quite a fancy place but they do have some covered terrace at the front of the store and some delicious food with a focus on Italian dishes. The outside area does get full up quickly so either book or head there early.

    – TY Harbor (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Z9mtts1yuLo94iFu5)

Massive outside terrace with some excellent dining and beers throughout the day. Good views at night time across the bay if you can get outside.

  3. The delirium cafe at Shinjuku station has outside seating, although it can be a bit hard to find the place since shinjuku station is so confusing:

There’s a place called Tata just outside of Tokyo station where I’ve been before that was pretty good too, with a (covered) outside terrace:

Pizza Strada, one of the best pizzas in Tokyo, has some outside seating as well:

Hacienda del cielo is a pretty good Mexican place with a rooftop terrace:

  4. Café Canal near Iidabashi JR station , near the exit that is in front of Kagurazaka street: seating near the water, pretty refreshing in the summer heat, they have 3 areas: inside seating restaurant, outside terrace of the restaurant and the wooden deck with self-service counter. I used to go there a lot but the service is getting worse by the year, not sure what’s their problem is. The pizza was good though and drinks are not expensive.

  5. Caf’e MID STAMP Ebisu has a small terrace. It has the feeling of a hidden cafe, only for those in the know. No signage on ground level and the cafe itself is up on fourth floor of the building. The feel is stylish with very comfortable seating and (at least when I was there) sheer curtains hanging between tables/seats, and, of course, the small outside terrace.

  6. Franky Hotel in Ebisu is a nice little affordable rooftop and does good food.

But so far, the best view I found of Tokyo is at my current place, not bragging, it’s true.
