I live in a tiny town in Tohoku. My wife and I used to buy frozen mangoes (Dole brand) from Lion Dor all the time for making smoothies, but we haven't seen any for months now.
Is there some national shortage we don't know about, or is it likely an effect of being out in the boonies?
