Okay so I have to drive for work. I had an old car and it was doing fine but Wednesday the generator got f*cked, smoke was coming out of the hood, and long story short replacing all the parts and fixing it is going to cost me over 10万円. The car is old and I drive long distance a couple of times a month, so buying a new one is likely my better option.
I was planning on getting a new car next year and saving for it to pay in cash, but had some other things come up that ate into that (laptop broke, death in the family so had to pay 20万円 for a plane ticket), and do not have enough money to pay out of pocket for a new car.
Is it possible to get a car loan as a foreigner without permanent residency? Or maybe lease, since I've heard car loans aren't great rate wise.
