Tokyo tower or tokyo skytree?

1. Tokyo Municipal Office, observatory deck at roughly same height as Tokyo tower, but 100% free!

6. Sky Tree Tembo deck is just awesome, never been to Tokyo Tower tho.

7. Skytree has a better wow effect than tokyo tower. Windows are more clear (people can’t touch them) which helps making perfect photos on long zoom. Tokyo tower is closer high buildings.

8. From the ground? Tokyo Skytree. Besides being very tall, it also changes colors and can display text at night, making it more interesting to look at.

   As for an observatory, Shibuya Sky is my favorite. It offers an open-air, CLEAR panoramic view and a large space.

   Tokyo Tower is an unmatched focal point in cityscape photography though.

Sky tree is expensive yes, but the view you get from there is unparalleled, you can see ALL of tokyo and beyond, and if you go on a really clear sky day, you can even see Mount Fiji, which is 100KM (60 miles) away! You are more then half a kilometer up, really awesome to see and worth it to see it at least once!
    Tokyo tower just isn’t that impressive.
