[RANT] Resona bank making me go in circles to create an account

I got a part time job and they said I need to make a resona account even though I have the Japan post account (I’m assuming to save on transfer fees) to receive my salary.
I downloaded the app and applied but because my legal name (because I have a second and middle name) is too long to fit into their spaces, I tried to remove spaces and a name to fit it into their form. They rejected my application because of it, saying it didn’t match my name on the residence card.
Decided that I should to the nearest branch to try making an account from there instead. Filled up the forms again, answered their questions on what the account if for, explained why I was rejected the first time, etc. The staff said they’d call me back after their processing, and if I’m accepted, I’ll schedule when to go pick up my card and everything.
Got a call today from them asking me to try applying on the app again. Not much explanation why really, just insisting it would be more convenient for me (according to them) to fill out the forms a third time on the app and just find a way to fit my full name on their app. Just all in all really frustrating. Like why make it an option to create an account at the nearest branch only to call me a week later to use the app to make an account?
