Cheap JPY has been mostly bad for me, since my salary is paid in JPY. But I also have a substantial amount saved in USD, and have tried to take advantage of the exchange rate a bit by making a couple of large purchases recently.
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for investment opportunities where the dollar might stretch further due to cheap JPY? I'd be probably be looking for something in the range of say ￥5M to ¥20M, but open to whatever ideas people might have. And as a US citizen I would want to steer clear of PFICs.
