I am trying to send a shikibuton from Japan over to the UK but am struggling to find a service for it. Though it's not super heavy (around 10kg), the dimensions mean that Japan Post won't send it (height + circumference > 3m). Yamato Transport only seems to deliver within Japan, while couriers like FedEx, DHL, UPS will charge 200k yen+ which is a lot more than the futon itself.
If anyone has experience in posting an oversized item like this abroad from Japan then I would really appreciate any advice you have.
