Hello! So I want to ask this question because In the future of my life I have plans on moving to Japan. But I’m transgender (female). I was wondering if I would need to do any extra steps to live in Japan and also be seen as female.
(I currently live in the USA)
I have also read some articles on this matter and a lot of it concerns me and I was wondering if any of these problems were still true in present day.
Things like
-not being able to have kids in Japan. And if i already have kids i would be decline to enter.
-transgender are seen negatively in Japan.
-if not fully transition you are seen as the other sex you where “born” as.
-it would be harder to get a visa
-gay marriage is banned in Japan.
These articles where written a long time ago though and idk if these matter have change over the years. Any knowledge on these matter would be a huge help. Thank you all sm for your time reading this and any answer would be greatly appreciate!
