What if Toshiaki Kawada had gone to the NJPW Dojo instead of the AJPW Dojo?

I had originally posted this in the SquaredCircle subreddit before it was stated that I might get a better answer to the question here.

From what I could tell, Kawada was apparently more of a fan of New Japan than All Japan and had actually planned to join the New Japan Dojo but was convinced to join the All Japan Dojo because Misawa, Kawada's high school buddy and future rival, suggested that he join the All Japan Dojo.

But, what if Kawada decided to stick to his guns and went to the New Japan Dojo? How does that change things, not only for Dangerous K, but All Japan and even for people like his fellow Four Pillars to even modern day wrestlers, do people like Eddie Kingston take as much influence from Kawada if he stays in New Japan instead of going to All Japan and doing King's Road?
