I'm planning a daytrip in Kyoto from Osaka on a Saturday in July. Kyoto seems to be the hardest city to plan an Itinerary for because everything seems to take a long time to get to within the city. There's a lot of places I want to go to, but I'm not sure if I will have enough time. Could anyone give me an estimate on how long my current plan will take?
- Kyoto station (from Osaka)
- Fushimi Inari Taisha (as early as possible to beat crowds)
- Kiyomizu-dera
- Yasaka-jinja Shrine
- Gion District
We can move through these sights quickly if we want to save time to do more, but the public transit to any other spot seems to take a lot of time. Is this Itinerary doable for a Saturday, the week of the Gion Matsuti festival? Could we add Kinkakuji, or Arashiyama to the end of the day?
