Hello, I’ve recently moved to the Kobe-Osaka area and have been looking to pick up ocean fishing as a hobby. Could anyone recommend a beginner-friendly saltwater fishing pond (or perhaps a cheaper fishing charter boat) in the area? Not too picky about the type of fish, but would prefer it to be a typically edible variety and size.

I’m not sure if it’s exactly what you’re looking for but there’s a lot of fishing spots on the coast of Kobe around Suma and Tarumi. I think [here](https://g.co/kgs/iRoieC) and [here](https://g.co/kgs/iWMpqN) cost money, but people fish off the pier between Marinpia and Azur-Maiko all the time, pretty sure that doesn’t cost anything.
