Tokyo Career Forum? Tips or Advice

Hello everyone,

Living here in Tokyo. I am currently studying Japanese at a language school at around an N3 level with the aim of N2 in December.

I am registered for the Tokyo Career Forum tomorrow 6/22/24-6/23/24.

However, I am hesitant. Is it worth going to with such a low level of Japanese? I am definitely interested in interviews and such but I am no where near the level of Business Japanese.

If its worth it, Any tips of advice for such an event?

I have some companies of interest and I don't mind if my MA degree & work experience(s) match it or not (at least not perfectly). I am a little nervous though that it will be a waste of time.

The forum states it is for "Japanese-English bilingual* with (including expected) a Bachelor's or higher degree with study abroad experience and or working and living experience both abroad and in your home country."

ETC ETC.

  1. If you have been, was it worth it?

  2. Any advice or tips?

Do let me know if you think it's worth it for someone in my position. Up for any points of view.

(I would like to work in Japan or for a foreign company in Japan)

I appreciate any input or information regarding this. Thank you so much for your help.

Best
