I have been through all the past posts related to owning a Car in Japan. People have regularly emphasised on not buying a European car as the costs of part change, maintenance can get unbearable. Rather buy a Japanese car as the these costs will be reduced a lot.
I have a Honda back home, and I always wanted to own an Audi. I am looking to buy a A3 or Q3. Still figuring out whether to buy a second hand or new one.
Most of those old posts here related to Japanese vs European cars are more than 2-3 yrs old. And these days I see every 3rd car an Audi or BMW or Mercedes. So maybe the Maintenance services have improved a bit?
Considering your personal experience or someone else’s, it really that hard to maintain an Audi or BMW ? Can you please give me an idea of how much cost increase I am looking for?
Also if I should buy a new or used?
