I have a few questions regarding transportation my itinerary for August:
10.08. – 16.08. Tokyo
16.08. – 17.08. Hakone
17.08. – 23.08. Kyoto
23.08. – 25.08. Hiroshima
25.08. – 27.08. Takayama (Shirakawago)
27.08. – 29.08. Kanazawa
29.08. – 30.08. Tokyo
I'm not planning on using any regional passes and want to use Shinkansen trains for all longer travels. On arrival I plan on buying Suica-Card for regional travel.
As I start off in Tokyo during Obon I'm thinking about booking some trains beforehand. Can you give me some advice where and how I can do that beforehand? I heard about Klook and it seems like it's the most convenient interface. Can I trust this provider?
I also want to use the Hakone Free Pass for the travel from Tokyo to Hakone and my guess is I don't need to book anything beforehand for that, right? When and where can I get the Hakone Free Pass?
At least the Shinkansen from Hakone to Kyoto I want to book beforehand and maybe also some more trains? Which trains would you recommend to book?
Also there are the busses between Takayama, Shirakawago and Kanazawa I want to book because I heard these are often sold out. Has anyone experience with booking those busses via japanbusonline.com?
