Saving up prior to moving

Hi all!

I’m heading to Japan in November through to march/ April to live and work temporarily as a ski instructor in Niseko (Hokkaido). How much do you think I should take in yen? So far I have ¥122,000 (which I know isn’t enough yet) but what should I take so I know I’m comfortable, even though I’m earning a minimum of ¥4,500 per hour? I also need to prove for my working holiday visa that I have enough to sustain myself whilst I’m not being paid (when in Tokyo). I will also be in staff accommodation, pay into the health service which needs to be considered.

In other subreddits I’ve had people tell me to “just use my regular bank card” but I have to have a Japanese bank account or wise/wize I think it is?? Basically I didn’t get the answers I needed regards to saving up.

Also o how much should I be looking to save roughly per month leading up to flying out?

Thanks guys!! X
