I'm generally great at planning holidays, having done many across all over the world. But for some reason, I'm really struggling with Japan. We land mid September.
We'll be a party of 7. 70F/69M, 43M/40F, 24M, 23F, 16M.
43M/40F, 24M, 23F, 16M will be there 19 nights. 70F/69M 17 nights (arrive two days after)
Lets ignore those first two days – One is likely going to be a day trip for 5 to Nikko.
Trying to plan a great trip around Japan, landing in Tokyo, leaving Osaka. The initial plan is:
- Tokyo – 4 nights (ignoring the half day flying in)
- Hakone – 1 night
- Fujiyashida / Takayama – 2 nights
- Kyoto – 3 nights
- Hiroshima 2 nights
- Osaka – 3 nights (one day Universal) + Fly out
Does these seem right in terms of places and time at places? Please critique offer suggestions, add or minus locations. I'm a bit worried about so many hotels and suitcases and moving around.
Things we want to do are:
- Universal Studios
- Teamlabs Planets
- Fuji-Q Theme Park
- Private Onsen hotel in a beautiful location for at least one night
- Snow Monkeys
- Samurai Museum
- Nara Deer Park
- Sumo wrestling
Help as times running out and worried won't get tickets.
Also – Universal – I'm struggling to understand how the tickets work compared to say, Orlando and such. We wanted the VIP tour with Express passes and Mario world.
