Most “In-Demand” Programming Languages

tl;dr: Which programming languages are currently "in-demand" at the moment and might be more likely to lead to a job offer than others?

Hey all. I attained my bachelor's degree in International Business last summer but the lack of language proficiency (I'm writing the N5 exam this Sunday) meant I was basically limited to English Teacher (which I don't want to do), or a random smattering of other niche jobs (e.g. reservations agent for a ski resort in Niseko).

It is my understanding that coders/developers/IT workers are constantly in demand (as evident by the number of postings on Daijob), and that staffing agencies like Randstad will assist in finding employment for software developers with little or no language proficiency ("No Japanese, no problem."). As such, I am going back to school in the fall for an after-degree in Computing Science, where I will get to choose which language(s) I specialize in after I get the first few introductory courses out of the way.

I found an article written by 人材採用支援 株式会社エンパワ (whom I emailed and am still waiting to hear back, if they reply to me at all) describing the most used programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, Ruby, Python, PHP, Objective-C & Swift, and JavaScript) but it is from 2023. I can't imagine it has changed much if at all in just a year, but wanted to check with the group who may have more insight. Another blog post from the year prior lists many of the same languages, but adds a few others not listed by Empower while omitting C++ (which is kind of what I was leaning towards as it is more gaming-focused which aligns with my interests/hobbies).
