Hello! I'll be in Osaka for three weeks and I have nothing to do on the weekend. I'm thinking about trying out nearby trails but I don't know where to start.
I want nice sceneries and lush forests, preferably with some rewarding view at the summit. I don't really care about the difficulty, so long as it can be done within a day. Any suggestions?

Check out the hikes at r/thisisosaka. They are all nice, can be reached by train in under an hour, and have elaborate info about what you’ll need and what to expect.
It’s all from past hikes, but still relevant.
The hills south of Nara, I suggest not doing without a guide, because some turns are not obvious.
We are not doing hikes this time of years because of the heat, so be aware of that.
