The package is brown and is offered by Yodobashi Camera. It is titled "Wireless Prepaid Sim" "10GB plan, 15 days, Data Communications Only". The card is also offered in other GB/day combinations.
I purchased the card because on the back it indicated the service was provided by NTT Docomo, the largest cell provider in Japan.
One red flag is that it doesn't say the speed (4G, 5G) anywhere on the package.
Day 1, the card worked fine at 4G. On day 2, 1.05GB into the 10GB, I was left stranded in a place I was unfamiliar, with service crawling so slow that I couldn't use Google Maps or a rideshare app.
Support is only offered via local phone (calling without phone or data sevice was hard). I was told that I was using the data too quickly and the only solution would be to stop using the sim for a day, then resume slowly.
As far as I'm concerned, I purchased 10GB and I should be able to use it In one day or over 15 days.
Please be careful about which sim you purchase.
