Im going to Japan for all of July and some of August with a bunch of friends as I am Studying Japanese in college and can speak somewhat well, we will be there for about 5 weeks and will be in Tokyo, Kamakura, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Monbetsu hokkaido. We plan to hit all the cool parts of tokyo (ginza, asakusa, shibuya/shinjuku) and plan to make day trips from osaka to nara/kyoto. I have a massive itinerary of things to do but am wondering if anyone has some hidden gems for places I don't know much about like Fukkuoka or Sapporo as they seem much less traveled. I've made some cool reservations for places like the Pokemon cafe and shibuya sky but feel like there's so much I might be missing out on by focusing on the major attractions or even some major attractions and stores I may be missing. Im trying to find something cool like an onsen hotel or activities for car enthusiast (besides Daikoku) or just any general tips and advice for someone whos overthinking an extended stay in japan!!
