I'm moving to Japan with my Japanese wife. We would need a car and I'm considering financing one, but it needs to be in my wife's name because i do not hold residency. I'm bringing home the money from a foreign earned income.
My wife is on maternity leave and has not had an income in Japan for several years. Will she be able to get mortgage/financing based on my foreign income?
